Former Downers Grove South Star Elliot Engelmann To Transfer From Butler University

Former Downers Grove South star Elliot Engelmann has decided to transfer from Butler University. As a high school senior, Engelmann ranked as one of the top Class of 2006 basketball prospects in Illinois.

Engelmann, a 6-7 post, is known for his versatility on the basketball court. As a senior, Engelmann averaged 17 points and 10 rebounds per contest in addition to setting the school record for blocked shots. Engelmann was also a key performer on a Bryan Mullins-led Downers Grove South team that finished 3rd in the IHSA Class AA state tournament as a high school junior.

A sophomore, Engelmann will have two years of college eligibility remaining. Engelmann competed on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Wolves program as a prep.
