Class Of 2008 Washington Star Dyricus Simms-Edwards Of The Illinois Wolves Picks Up A Scholarship Offer From Southern Illinois University

Class of 2008 Washington High School basketball star Dyricus Simms-Edwards has picked up a scholarship offer from Southern Illinois University. Simms-Edwards ranks as one of the top 2008 basketball prospects in the state of Illinois.

Simms-Edwards, a 6-1 point guard, burst on the scene this year with a dynamite junior year on the hardwood. Simms-Edwards and Indiana-bound Matt Roth combined to form one of the best backcourt duo's in Illinois, and led Washington all the way to the Final Four of the Class 3A state tournament.

Simms-Edwards will compete on the travel team circuit with the Illinois Wolves, and will team with Wisconsin-bound Diamond Taylor and Illinois-bound Joseph Bertrand to form what is expected to be one of the top guard trio's in the country.
