After rolling through pool play undefeated, the 17-U Illinois Wolves lost a tough heartbreaker to a highly regarded Pump N' Run Elite team by one-point in overtime on a controversial call at the Double Pump Spring Classic in Lakewood, Colorado.

In overtime, the Wolves took the lead by two points on a basket with four seconds remaining. They then lost on a three-point shot that was declared good despite appearing to come clearly after the buzzer had sounded.

Conrad Krutwig (Jacobs), Dyricus Simms-Edwards (Waukegan), Tim Traversa (Chicago St. Patrick), Zeke Schneider (Metamora) and Wisconsin-bound Diamond Taylor (St. Joseph) all posted strong efforts in the game for the Wolves. Illinois-bound Joseph Bertrand did not play after suffering a bad ankle sprain during pool play. He will likely be sidelined for the next few weeks.

Pump N' Run Elite features 6-7 UCLA-bound Reeves Nelson and 6-10 twins David and Travis Wear, a pair of North Carolina recruits.
