Mercyhurst College Adds Class Of 2008 Hinsdale South Star Eric Travis To A Recruiting Haul That Already Includes Elliot Englemann And Jordan Armstrong

Mercyhurst has now added Class of 2008 Hinsdale South star Eric Travis to a recruiting class that will also include Butler transfer Elliot Engleman (Downers Grove South) and Southern Illinois transfer Jordan Armstrong.

Travis, who stands 6-5, is known for his strength, toughness and athleticism on the basketball court. Hinsdale South head coach Vince Doran notes that Travis is the first scholarship player to play for him at the school.

Travis will be joined at Mercyhurst next season by former Downers Grove South star Elliot Englemann, who is transferring in from Butler University, and 6-6 Jordan Armstrong, who is transferring in from Southern Illinois University.

Mercyhurst head coach Gary Manchel has his eye on recruiting the state of Illinois, and with a staff that includes a rising star in former Downers Grove South star Brendan Mullins, the school is now well on its way toward establishing a strong foothold here.

Mercyhurst, a Division II program that is located in Erie, Pennsylvania. The team competes in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
