6-4 Brewster Academy-Bound Derek Tartt Of 17-U Illinois Wolves Continuing To Hone His Skills On The Basketball Court

Former Fenwick High Schol basketball standout Derek Tartt of the 17-U Illinois Wolves is all set to attend prep school powerhouse Brewster Academy this coming season, and has been busy honing his skills.

Tartt, a 6-4 guard, is a highly versatile player who makes things happen on both ends of the basketball court. Tartt recently spent time at the IMG Academy in Florida honing his skills playing against some of the finest basketball talent in the country. He also played well at the University of Kentucky Elite Camp earlier this month.

Mike Mullins of the Illinois Wolves believes that Tartt is in position to see his recruiting stock soar as a 2009 recruit. Tartt had offers from Toledo, Missouri State, Missouri State, Ball State and Loyola for this fall as a 2008 recruit.

This July, Tartt will be in action with the 17-U Illinois Wolves after starting the month at Reebok U in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
